Fry Hall are sprinting to Somalia!
Wednesday 23rd June 2010
We are students from Wymondham College. Last year Fry boarding house organised a charity week 'Dash to Darfur' which was a great success. Because of the overwhelming amount of support this event received, we have decided to do it again this year!
This year the theme will be a 'Sprint to Somalia'. Over the course of the week we will hope to run a cumulative total of 4200 miles (representing the distance from Norfolk to Somalia) in aid of the charity 'SOS children'. To try and make the arduous and ambitious task of running 4200 miles more interesting, each day's running will be undertaken following a particular theme, for example a neon colour theme and a world cup theme. There will also be a range of additional activities taking place over the course of the week including volleyball and cricket matches. To cap off the week long event, a world cup themed social will be taking place on Thursday night.
All events are being organised by students the week commencing the 21st of June, and finishing the 24th June.
