Royal Portraits

It is only a few months until the 60th anniversary of the Queen's Coronation on 2nd June 1953. The Queen is the patron of the Royal Alexandra and Albert School, and the Duchess of Gloucester is the School's President.

Bronze Medal for Amy at British Judo Champs

Last Saturday, Year 9 Wymondham College student Amy Mollan faced her biggest challenge to date, when she competed in the Under 36kg Year 8 and 9 category in the 2013 British Schools Judo Championships in Sheffield.

Students travelled from all over Great Britain and Northern Ireland for this prestigious event, which this year saw over 500 entrants.

Boarding school - Chinese style

The second SBSA Sports Festival was held at Welbeck the Defence Sixth Form College near Loughborough on Wednesday 13 March.

13 year old Josiah Pawson, a pupil at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School, has been selected to run for his county in the National Cross Country Championships in March.

Cooking up a breakfast treat

Pupils got a rare bit of advice today whilst learning to make Welsh Rarebit. This week the Royal Alexandra and Albert School was taking part in the campaign to encourage pupils to have breakfast. Another British Championships Gold for William

Year 8 Wymondham College student William Booth, from Wymondham Judo Club, has had a golden start to 2013 by successfully defending his title as under 30kgs British Champion at Sheffield last weekend.

This follows on from a perfect 2012 when William won the 3 biggest titles for his age band and earned himself a place on the England Pre-Cadet Squad.
