Lancaster Royal Grammar School celebrated outstanding exam results once again. At A-level, half of all subject entries for the 158 Upper Sixth students were awarded A or A*grades, and 76% of all exams received grade B or above. An outstanding 18% of all subject entries received the top A* grade.

Students at Wymondham College have again achieved outstanding GCSE results.
No fewer than 36 students achieved 10 or more top A or A* grades with 9 students achieving at least 14 top grades.
Overall, 96.4% of all students achieved at least five grades A*-C at GCSE.

Over the last few weeks, 13 year old Zoe Cawsey has picked up a good crop of medals for swimming. Zoe, who is a pupil at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School, has been competing in various swimming competitions, and has had considerable success.

After completing a demanding 2-year A Level course, most 18 year olds would be planning to take it easy for a few weeks. But Ross Gardner, a student at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School has other plans. He will spend the summer cycling down the west coast of the USA, raising money for Cancer Research.
